Intervention for At-Risk Students Accelerating Growth at Moreno Valley USD
Moreno Valley Unified School District (MVUSD) is a diverse Title I district located in the San Bernardino-Riverside Metropolitan Area of California. serving a high At-Risk (Title I) and English Language Learner (24-26%) student population. Students historically struggled in Math, and with the changing rigor of California Common Core State Standards, students throughout the district were falling behind.
Over three-quarters of students district-wide were scoring below proficiency on the California Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) assessment. MVUSD needed to get students additional supports to keep them on track to fulfill California A-G Requirements and place them on a College and Career Ready path.
